Home made Suji Appam


 (Note : tsp stands for table spoon)

Ingredients

  • Semolina (sooji / rava ) - 1 cup ,
  • Curd - 3 / 4 cup,
  • Oil - 4 tsp,
  • Salt,
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp,
  • ENO - 1 / 2 tsp

Green Vegetables

  • Onion,
  • French Beans,
  • Green Chilli,
  • Carrot,
  • Capsicum,
  • Cabbage and
  • Coriander Leaves

Method

  • Mix in a Bowl Suji, curd, salt and water to make batter and leave it for 30 minutes
  • Now heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds , curry leaves, green chilli and fry it for few seconds
  • Add onion and fry for a minute on medium flame
  • Add beans, carrot, capsicum, cabbage and salt.
  • Mix it and cook for another one minutes
  • Turn off flame and let it cool down
  • Add cooked vegetable and coriander leaves in batter.
  • If batter is thick add some water
  • Add 1/2 tsp ENO and mix it.


(APPE PAN)

  • Heat appe pan and add few drops of oil in each mould
  • Put one Spoon Batter in each Mould and Cook for 5 Minutes
  • Add little oil on top and flip it
  • Take it out and Enjoy
