Home made Suji Appam
(Note : tsp stands for table spoon)
Ingredients
- Semolina (sooji / rava ) - 1 cup ,
- Curd - 3 / 4 cup,
- Oil - 4 tsp,
- Salt,
- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp,
- ENO - 1 / 2 tsp
Green Vegetables
- Onion,
- French Beans,
- Green Chilli,
- Carrot,
- Capsicum,
- Cabbage and
- Coriander Leaves
Method
- Mix in a Bowl Suji, curd, salt and water to make batter and leave it for 30 minutes
- Now heat 2 tsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds , curry leaves, green chilli and fry it for few seconds
- Add onion and fry for a minute on medium flame
- Add beans, carrot, capsicum, cabbage and salt.
- Mix it and cook for another one minutes
- Turn off flame and let it cool down
- Add cooked vegetable and coriander leaves in batter.
- If batter is thick add some water
- Add 1/2 tsp ENO and mix it.
- Heat appe pan and add few drops of oil in each mould
- Put one Spoon Batter in each Mould and Cook for 5 Minutes
- Add little oil on top and flip it
- Take it out and Enjoy
