Papri Chaat

 


(Note : tbsp stands for table spoon)

Ingredients

  • Papri -10 pieces
  • Dried peas -1 cup
  • Onion -2,
  • Tomato -2
  • Coriander Leaves -1/4 cup
  • Green Chilli -2
  • Masala
  • Cumin Seeds-1 tsp,
  • Salt,
  • Oil-2 tsp,
  • Cumin Powder-1 tsp,
  • Coriander Powder-1 tsp,
  • Red Chilli Powder-1 tsp,
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste-1 tsp,
  • Turmeric Powder-1 tsp and
  • Garam Masala Powder-1 tsp

Method

  • Soak Peas overnight in water. 
  • Next day, boil peas in a pressure cooker with 2 glass water and salt
  • Close the lid. Boil it for 3 to 4 whistle on medium flame
  • Turn off the flame. Let it cool down
  • Now Heat oil in pan
  • Add cumin seeds, green chilli and fry it for 30 seconds on medium flame
  • Add chopped onion and cook until golden brown
  • Add ginger garlic paste, tomato and salt and mix well
  • Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and red chilli powder
  • Fry it for 5 minutes on medium flame
  • Add boiled peas and fry it for 1 minutes on medium flame
  • It is ready and turn off the flame
  • Put papri and chat in serving plate
  • Add green chutney, tamarind chutney, chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, curd -1 tsp, black salt, chat masala, red chilli powder, cumin powder, sev bhujiya, and pomegranate seeds
