Aloo Dum

 

(Note : tbs stands for table spoon)

Ingredients

  • Boiled Potato-500 gm,
  • Onion-3(paste),
  • Tomato-2(paste),
  • Mustard oil-4 spoon,
  • Cloves-4, Cinnamom-1 inch,
  • Bay Leaves-2,
  • Cumin seeds-1 tbs,
  • Ginger Garlic Paste-1 tbs,
  • Salt,
  • Turmeric Powder-2 tbs,
  • Red Chilli Powder-2 tbs,
  • Coriander Powder-1 tbs,
  • Cumin Powder-1 tbs,
  • Pepper Powder-!/2 tbs,
  • Garam Masala Powder-1/2 tbs
Method
  • Boil potato in cooker and peel it once it is cool down.
  • Prick the boiled potatoes with fork
  • Add 1/2tbs turmeric powder, salt, 1/2 tbs red chilli powder and mix it
  • Take cooking oil in the pan and heat it
  • Add potatoes and cook it till it turn golden in color
  • Take it out
  • Now heat leftover oil 
  • Add Whole Spices
  • Add onion paste and mix it (Make paste of onion in mixie)
  • Cook on medium flame for 5 minutes
  • Add tomato paste and mix it (Make paste of tomato in mixie)
  • Cover it and cook on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes
  • Add ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, pepper powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix it
  • Cover it and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes
  • Add garam masala powder and mix it
  • Add water and boiled it
  • Add fry potatoes and salt and mix it
  • Cover it and cook on medium flame for 3 minutes
  • Add coriander leaves and mix it
  • You Aloo Dum is ready, enjoy
