कांजी वड़ा | Holi Special kanji Vada Recipe in less than 4 mins | Terrace Kitchen | Authentic Kanji Vada


(Note : tsp stands for table spoon)

 Ingredients

For Kanji Water

  • Mustard Powder-1 tsp,
  • Red Chilli Powder-1/2 tsp,
  • Black Salt-1 tsp,
  • Asafoetida-1/4 tsp,
  • Turmeric Powder-1 tsp,
  • Salt-1 tsp,
  • Water-1 litre

For Vada

  • Moong Dal -1 cup,
  • Coriander Leaves-2 spoon,
  • Ginger-1 inch,
  • Green Chilli-1,
  • Salt and and cooking oil

Method

  • Take water in a pot
  • Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp mustard powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp black salt, 1/4 tsp asafoetida and mix it
  • Close the lid and leave it for 2 to 3 days
  • Take moong dal in a jar and grind it
  • Add salt, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves and mix it for 5 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, make vada from batter and put in the oil.
  • Fry on flame medium and turn it
  • Take it out
  • Put the Vada in hot water
  • Leave it for half an hour
  • Take it out and press it to remove soaked water. 
  • Put it in kanji water
  • Leave it for half an hour to one hour
  • It's ready. Enjoy
