Veg Pulao
(Note : tsp stands for table spoon)
Ingredients
- Basmati Rice-1 glass,
- Water-1 1/2 glass,
- Cauliflower-1/2 cup,
- Carrot-1/2 cup,
- Beans-1/2 cup,
- Coriander leaves-1/4 cup,
- Green chilli-2,
- Onion-2,
- Potato-2,
- Green Peas-1 cup,
- Cashew-1/2 cup,
- Sugar-1 tsp,
- Salt,
- Turmeric Powder-1 tsp,
- Ghee-3 tsp,
- Bay leaves-2,
- Cinnamon-2,
- Cumin Seeds-1 tsp,
- Cardamom-2,
- Cloves-5 and
- Star flower-1
Method
- First wash Basmati Rice
- Add 1 glass water and leave it for 15 minutes
- Now heat ghee in cooker, add cashew and fry it then remove it
- Add cumin seeds ,star flower, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves
- Add green chilli and onion
- Cook for 2 mins on medium flame
- Add potato, cauliflower, carrot, beans
- Mix it and cook for 2 mins on medium flame
- Add green peas and 1 tbs turmeric powder
- Mix it and cook for 2 mins on medium flame
- Now add soaked rice, mix well and cook for 1 min
- Add 1 and 1/2 glass of water, salt and sugar
- Sugar is optional
- Add fried cashew and mix it
- Close lid of pressure cooker and cook it on high flame till one whistle
- Now keep the flame medium and cook for 2 minutes
- Turn off the flame and let it cool down
- Open the lid
- Add coriander leaves
- It's ready, Enjoy
