Moong Dal Halwa
(Note : tbs stands for table spoon)
Ingredients
- Moong Dal-1 cup (200 gms),
- Sugar-1 cup (200 gms),
- Ghee-1/2 cup (125 gms),
- Milk-500 ml,
- Almonds-15 to 20,
- Raisins-20 to 25,
- Cashews-15 to 20,
- Cardamom Powder-1 tbs
Method
- Wipe moong dal with cloth to clean it
- Pour the dal in pan
- Roast it on medium flame
- Once colour is changed, and smell is coming out it, turn off the flame
- Take out it in a plate and let it cool down
- Now put it in a jar, and grind it
- Now take some ghee in a pan and heat it
- Add dry fruits, fry it and take it out.
- Add some more ghee in pan, pour moong dal in ghee and roast for 5 mins on medium flame
- Add milk and mix it, stir it
- Add 1/2 glass water and mix it
- Stir it and cook for 10 to 15 mins on medium flame
- Add sugar and cook for 5 mins on medium flame
- Add some ghee and stir it
- Add dry fruits and cook for 5 mins on medium flame
- Add ghee and cook for 5 mins on medium flame
- Add cardamom powder and mix it and cook for 5 mins
- Turn off the flame
- It's ready. enjoy
