Matar Pulao
(Note : tsp stands for table spoon)
Ingredients
- Basmati Rice-1 glass(200 gm),
- Water-1.50 glass(1and 1/2 glass)
- Green Peas-1 cup(100 gm),
- Coriander leaves-2 tbs,
- Cashew-15 to 20,
- Ghee-4 spoon,
- Pepper-12,
- Cloves-5,
- Bay leaves-2,
- Cardamom-4,
- Cinnamom-2,
- Gram Masala Powder-1/2 tbs
- and salt
Method
- Wash rice, add 1 glass of water into it and leave it for 15 minutes
- Now take ghee in a pan and heat it
- Add whole spices, and cashew
- Fry cashews till it turns golden in color
- Add peas and fry it for a minute
- Now add soaked rice, mix it and fry for a minute on medium flame
- Add 1 and 1/2 glass water
- Add 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, salt and mix it
- Boil on high flame in presser cooker.
- Close lid of pressure cooker
- Cook it till one whistle on high flame
- After that cook for 5 minutes on medium flame
- Turn off the flame and let it cool down.
- Open the lid
- Add coriander leaves
- It's ready. Enjoy
