Matar Pulao

 


(Note : tsp stands for table spoon)

Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice-1 glass(200 gm),
  • Water-1.50 glass(1and 1/2 glass)
  • Green Peas-1 cup(100 gm),
  • Coriander leaves-2 tbs,
  • Cashew-15 to 20,
  • Ghee-4 spoon,
  • Pepper-12,
  • Cloves-5,
  • Bay leaves-2,
  • Cardamom-4,
  • Cinnamom-2,
  • Gram Masala Powder-1/2 tbs
  • and salt

Method

  • Wash rice, add 1 glass of water into it and leave it for 15 minutes
  • Now take ghee in a pan and heat it
  • Add whole spices, and cashew
  • Fry cashews till it turns golden in color
  • Add peas and fry it for a minute
  • Now add soaked rice, mix it and fry for a minute on medium flame
  • Add 1 and 1/2 glass water
  • Add 1/2 tsp garam masala powder, salt and mix it
  • Boil on high flame in presser cooker.
  • Close lid of pressure cooker
  • Cook it till one whistle on high flame
  • After that cook for 5 minutes on medium flame
  • Turn off the flame and let it cool down.
  • Open the lid
  • Add coriander leaves
  • It's ready. Enjoy
