Gulab Jamun

 


(Note : tbsp stands for table spoon)

Ingredients

  • Mawa-250 gm
  • Chisel (Chhena) -150 gm
  • Maida-2 tbsp
  • Crystal sugar (Mishri)-2 tbsp
  • Cardamom-1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar-750 gm , Ghee

Method

  • Take mawa, chisel and maida in a plate and mix it. 
  • Rub with you palm at least for 10 minutes. 
  • Now start making rasgulla like a small ball. 
  • Put a hole in the middle of rasgulla, put one crystal sugar inside and make rasgulla like a ball.
  • Make sure that there should not be any crack. If it is so, mix it again properly.  
  • Now we will make sugar syrup
  • Take sugar in a pot and add 1/2 glass water and cook it till the sugar melts
  • Sugar syrup is ready
  • Turn off the flame and add cardamom powder and mix it. 
  • Now take ghee in a pan and heat it. 
  • Once ghee becomes slightly hot, put rasgulla one by one and cook from all the side on low flame. 
  • Cook it for 15 to 20 minutes on low flame till the colour of rasgulla is turned golden colour.
  • Now  remove it and immediately put it in hot sugar syrup and leave for 30 minutes. 
  • Your Gulab Jamun is ready, enjoy with your parents and all family members.
