Aloo Methi
Ingredients
- Potato-4,
- Tomato-1,
- Onion-2,
- Fenugreek Leaves- 150 gm
- Turmeric-1 tbsp, Salt,
- Cumin Seeds-1 tbsp,
- Mustard Oil (Cooking Oil)-2 tbsp
- Put oil in the pan and heat it
- Add cumin seeds
- Add onion and mix it and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame till the color of onion turns golden
- Add potato and 1 tbsp turmeric powder, salt and mix it.
- Cover it and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame
- When potatoes are cooked a little bit, add fenugreek leaves
- Mix it and cook for 1 minutes
- When fenugreek leaves have softened slightly, add tomato and mix it
- Cover it and cook for 5 minutes on low flame
- If you want, you can skip tomatoes here, however adding tomatoes reduces the bitterness of fenugreek, so we're putting tomatoes in it
- When potatoes are cooked, turn of the flame
- And take it out in a plate and enjoy
